Gas Saving Tips and Ideas!

Engine Warm Up
Avoid Prolonged warming up of engines, even on a cold morning. Only warm up for 30-45 seconds.
Start and Stop
Don't start and stop your engine constantly, starting your engine, consumes the same amount of gas as idling for one minute
How to Buy Gas
Buy gas during the coolest time of the day. (Early morning or late evening) During these times gas in less dense. You need to keep in mind that gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration so you are charges according to volume of measurement.
Fill Up's
Avoid filling your gas tank to the very top. Filling it all of the way full will result with the gas sloshing out of the tank anyway. Never fill your tank past the first "click" or pump shut off.
Economical Driving
Traveling at 55 miles per hour will give you up to 21% better fuel mileage when compared to 65-70 miles per hour.
Dirt or Gravel Road Driving
Try to avoid the unpaved roads as much as possible, a dirt or gravel road will cost you up to 30% of you fuel mileage.
The Most Important Advice:
Car pool as often as you can! It will not only save you a tremendous amount of money, but will reduce emissions and slow down the depletion of several natural resources!
Carry a tape recorder in your car to log prices while you're driving around.
